A poem that we share as one, a world and an ideal that we cannot escape. |
-You'll Remember Me- by Keaton Foster This heart Aches This mind Races These thoughts They come The pain Follows close Imagine If you can Living with A man's hands Around your heart Squeezing Because he is sure More than you That he’s right Holding on Way to tight You’d be praying Pleading every day For dear life Trust me Understand I won’t lie All truths Must be spoken I encourage Everyone to listen Please my friends If you can stand I am this man A broken vessel Within a hellish institution There is no cup Yet every ounce of me Runneth over Spilling out Questions and doubt God’s upon themselves What is being said Relation in poetic form Perfection spared Crude and to the point Leaving little to decide Even less to be denied Long after this day No matter the case You’ll remember me Even if you wish Upon every dream Not to You’ll know my plight Because Without question Yours is And has been the same We share it as one The causalities of this war And the fights brought to battle Our demons are the same Our lack of belief In anything Other than ourselves Is what has brought us together And will never let us be apart You’ll remember me Because You’ll remember yourself… You'll Remember Me Written by Keaton Foster Copyright © 2014. |
