Everyone has a secret.
Whether it is good or bad.
We try to hid them the best we can,
But sometimes they get out.

They could be hurtful.
They could be bittersweet.
They could be scary.
Some we never tell.
Others we let someone know.
Not everyone knows about them though.
Some we get early.
Others we get late.

They could destroy us.
Or they could keep us alive.
Some we hear.
Some we cause.
Some we make up.
But others we spread.

So it’s true.
I have a secret and so do you.
Everyone has a secret.
Whether it is good or bad.
But whether we talk about it,
Is up to its listener.
