Shut Up, Squirt

Hush, little Baby, don’t say a word,
Mama’s gonna buy you a gallows bird*.

And if that gallows bird don’t swing,
Mama’s gonna buy you a fairy ring**.

And if that fairy ring’s toadstools,
Mama’s gonna buy you a ship of fools.

And if that ship of fools gets sunk,
Mama’s gonna buy you some worthless junk,

And if that worthless junk sells well,
Mama’s gonna buy you a doomsday bell***.

And if that doomsday bell won’t peal
Mama’s gonna buy you a performing seal.

And if that performing seal can’t bark,
Mama’s gonna buy you a matriarch.

And if that matriarch’s no kids,
You’ll still be the weirdest baby on the skids.
