After 14 years it's time to change things up... or is it?

The 2022 running of the "NaNoWriMo Write-A-ThonOpen in new Window. will be the 14th consecutive time I've run the activity, and I thought it would be a good opportunity to check in with those who have participated and find out what you like, what you don't like, and what can be done better. If you are familiar with the Write-A-Thon, please take a few moments to fill out this survey to help me figure out how to better structure and run this activity for everyone's enjoyment. *Smile*

Anonymous responses are allowed if you're more comfortable completing the survey that way, but I would appreciate knowing who submitted what comments in case I need to ask a follow-up question or something.
(R) denotes a required field.
You may submit your survey anonymously by checking the box to the left.
1.   For the past couple years, I switched to an individual activity after years of running the Write-A-Thon as a team effort. Which do you prefer? (R)
        Individual Activity
        Team Effort
2.   In the past, the Write-A-Thon had numerous sponsorship levels (1/10 GP per word, 1/2 GP per word, etc.) as well as the ability to set minimum and maximum donation amounts. Recently, it's been a fixed 1 GP per word donation to simplify things, with the ability to still set minimum and maximum donation amounts. Would you like to see the fractional GP donations reinstated? (R)
Yes, I like having more donation options
No, 1 GP/word is fine as long as I can set a minimum and maximum amount
3.   I try to post at least two check-ins/status updates throughout the month to let everyone know how the word counts are shaping up. Do you find these updates helpful, not helpful, or do you not care? (R)
        I like the check-ins/status updates
        I don't like the check-ins/status updates
I don't really care either way
4.   The activity currently requires a minimum of 12,500 words (25% completion) in order to be eligible for any prizes. What do you think of that limit? (R)
It should be higher (more words to be eligible for prizes)
It should be lower (fewer words to be eligible for prizes)
It's fine just the way it is
5.   The prizes currently include a merit badge for participation (NaNo Participant for more than 12,500 words written, or NaNo Winner for making it to 50,000+ words), plus additional merit badges for the highest word count and donations, plus 5% of the entire activity's haul divided among the winning writers. What do you think of the prizes? (R)
        The prizes are fine
        The prizes should be better
        The prizes are too high
6.   I'm pretty lax about writers who don't update their word counts. If they don't update it, they get a zero (or however many words are on their self-reported NaNoCounter). Should I be tougher on requiring writers to update their word counts regularly and removing writers who do not? (R)
No, you should leave writers in the activity at whatever words they report (even if it's zero)
Yes, you should warn and remove writers who don't update their word counts
7.   The activity generally leaves writers alone to write their words. Does that work for you, or do you wish there was more involvement/participation? (R)
I'd rather be left alone to write on my own
I wish there was more of a community aspect to the Write-A-Thon
8.   I typically try to find beneficiaries that I'm excited about and have a positive impact on the site. If you have any thoughts or comments about the beneficiaries (including recommendations!) please explain below.

9.   I will be commissioning a new exclusive merit badge for the Write-A-Thon this year. Please share any thoughts you have about what this should be. Design suggestions, how exclusive it should be, ideas on what it could be given out for, etc. are all welcome!

10.   Do you have any other thoughts, comments, and/or suggestions about what I can do to improve everybody's experience with the Write-A-Thon?
