Unsung Heroes

When we honor the Vet,
let's not forget:

Those not in ships, or planes,
such as nurses and firemen
among disease and flame.
Have exceedingly been

Full of courage and spirit.
Selflessness too.
Are of great merit
and deserve their due.

The vaccinators of COVID,
the emergency respondes
give us a picture vivid
that leaves us to ponder

how selfless they must be
in their dedication.
For we can see
their true motivation.

To dedicate one's life to other's,
is a true calling for sisters and brothers.
