No Restrictions | Each day is different for everyone. People have events on days others don't. Every day is someone's birthday. (Happy birthday, I guess.) Even Mondays are different for everyone. Most people dread them because they're so busy after a weekend of relaxing. But for me, this Monday was the craziest day ever! It was quiet, a loud quiet because there was no siren boxing my ears to make me get up. I was conscious so my eyes' curtains—ok, my eyelids—were pulled open. My room was dark but my window shade eclipsed the light outside. Not good. I turned onto my stomach and looked at my clock behind me, reading 7:59 a.m. Not good! My blankets flew up in the air as I darted off the bed and dove to my dresser. I stripped off my pajamas and immediately pulled on a graphic tee and jeans. I stomped my feet into my favorite orange and white sneakers, fumbling the shoestrings twice before jerking the strings in every movement I did to ensure I tied them correctly. My left leg lunged at the door before I remembered my bookbag. It was to my left behind me, so I turned to grab it but forgot to move my legs in the direction. |
