Many years ago
As a young man

Joe had a dream
A nightmare.
..
That haunted him
For many years.

In this lucid dream
He woke up.

Saying it would be nice
If I could fly.

Why not?
Take a ride.

On the wild side?
And he went out/

He found a magic carpet
Waiting for him.

He looked down
At his sleeping body

Said to the carpet
Take me for a ride

And they flew across
The land.

And found themselves
Outside a bar.

In Cleaveland
Drinking beer.

He stopped
Had a drink or two.

The aliens dismissed him
Sent him home.

To ponder the nature
Of reality.

As he woke up
Alone in his bed,
