Nothing Left

Here I stand alone, and lost,
A man with nothing left to live for,
All his hopes, and dreams are gone,
His heart and soul are no more,
He gave his love, but was betrayed,
But only blames himself, everyday,
He gave his trust, but it did no good,
For everything he thought he knew,
Is gone,
How do you continue to live your life,
How do you go on,
When the love of your life,
Is gone,
You hang on to hope,
But it gets harder every day,
I have no direction,
Nothing left to live for,
So why do I continue, day after day,
When the only thing you ever wanted,
Was taken away,
Without love, I can not live,
So with my future unknown,
And my life unsure,
I don’t know how much longer I can make it,
Without love in my life.
