A poem about how pretty blood looks after self harm.
Blood Jewels {}

The red beads
Glisten like rubies
Just as precious
Just as pretty
They decorate porcelain skin
Spreading, joining, collaborating
Forming one large jewel
Which darkens, solidifies
Adheres to the skin
A little scratch to the jewel that no longer glistens
Reveals smaller beads once more
But again these jewels
Harden and stop shining
In time the hardened jewel
Falls away to reveal
Boring, dull porcelain
But blood jewels are
Just a scratch away
