I want to write the next great American novel, stick it in a drawer and keep it to myself. I want to write a poem with a deeper meaning that no one understands -- not even me. I want to write a mystery where everyone knows who did it, but no one can figure out what he did. I want to write songs in a key no one can sing; love stories of people with no emotions; and sports novellas for people who know nothing about sports. In short, this is my place to write things that will never amount to anything. I have no illusions this will make me a better writer. It just releases the clutter from my head. It is good to de-clutter, right?
