I am a 60-something writer, although calling myself a 'writer' may be a bit grandiose. I wrote my first poem at age 8 and wrote consistently for the next 20 years. After that, "life" got in the way and I put aside my pen and inspiration. I did continue to write poems for family special occasions, for contests, etc.. I enjoy writing poems, jingles, columns and short stories that include humor, spirituality, complementary/alternative health, romance or murder mysteries. I had hoped to do more writing post-retirement, but have decided there may not be a "post-retirement", so I must do this now and not later; there may not be a "later".
