From the age of eight James has lived in the Pacific Northwest. He finds that the vast forests, rugged mountains, and seascapes have done more to influence his writing than nearly anything else. When he was eighteen, James was diagnosed with a severe case of scoliosis. So, if he appears to be bent and twisted, that's why. A graduate of the University of Oregon, James has published several stories and poems in small magazines as well as three supernatural thriller novels, known as The Ni'il Trilogy. James lives on the Oregon Coast.
