Section 17- act like a wall, with humans on one side and aliens on the other. Everything they do is to prepare humanity for the 'breaking of the heart'. PastMaster- Davies was sent to London because his boss hates his guts. However, he gets tangeled up in a war for the 'soul of history' against terrorists who will stop at nothing to achieve their aims.
