Summary of this Book...
Antionette, a martinique girl born to foreign parents, and her sad life as a "white cockroach" amongst the colored people.
I especially liked... | ||
The way the author pulls you into the story. The thin line between the rumors and real family secrets kept me glued to the plot. The book entices all the senses, to the point that you can almost smell the damp tropical earth of Antionette's house.
I didn't like... | ||
How the charcters end up in the story - but then again, if the ending had been different, it wouldn't be as beutiful as it is.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
Write my own story | ||
This Book made me feel...
passionate and imaginative and a little disturbed.
The author of this Book...
is brilliant. She writes with so much passion that you are brought into the chaos that the characters are in, and almost feel as mad as her own characters
I recommend this Book because...
its the most passionate, romantic and tragic book I have ever read.
I don't recommend this Book because...
some people may get lost in the confusion and not uunderstand it. The plot is as intricate and choatic as a provincial rumor gone amok.
