This type of Book is good for...
This is a rainy day book that will keep your interest. It isn't heavy and won't weigh you down. It is a romance novel that has some mystery and a sprinkle of religious overtones.
I especially liked... | ||
I actually liked the idea that the story seemed to weave in and out of genres. It was a mystery as far as Charlotte trying to figure out the dress's history. It had slight religious overtones that were not overbearing but hopeful. It was also contemporary romance and historical romance woven together nicely. It told the tale of the original woman who commissioned the dress and how she was having relationship problems while in the present, Charlotte is dealing with her own.
The n/a of this Book... | ||
The author, Rachel Hauck, did a good job of flipping from the present in Charlotte's life to the past with Emily, the original dress owner, and how she dealt with her relationships.
Further Comments... | ||
The author did a very good job of managing the stories within the story. The two main women take main stage with Charlotte in the present and Emily in the past but there are also two other owners of the dress that are discovered along the way. They are all characterized well and the story was enjoyable.
