Hi, y'all ๐ค on this election Tuesday evening โจ๐! It started at 6 AM with the alarm going off ( still feeling crappy) but got out the door ๐ช by 8:20 to vote at the Church. The parking was hard to find and packed,as were the area around the Church grounds. At least 100 people were already on line at the building! By 9:30 we finally made it to the door and figured it would be over soon ๐-- not. When we got in about 75 people or so were crammed into a "walkway" of about 3 and a half feet wide space. It was very dim and chair ๐ช backs lined the way. They would call out " R to Z" and if your name starts with it, you were calling upfront. Even if you were way back of us in the line. They called out those letters more than any. We hardly had any room to move anywhere ๐. When they called " A to G" I told the lady I was F but had to wait with my legally blind sis who was P. At the end people were getting uptight, because they had a lady in a wheelchair come from the back and had to get through the line. We felt bad for her and they only had 8 people total to call out and to check ID's. They asked the crowd if anyone would like to volunteer to help? One of the ladies next to us,was a CNA and was already late for work. It was a mess! Finally we got through and after almost 3 hours total,we voted and left. We never had so much trouble ๐ตโ๐ซ voting in our lives. Last year we voted for Governor and there was twice as many people to get us out. Whew. Well onto something better! This month we've been trying to figure out how to save money ๐ค on Kitty ๐ litter. Like everything else it's gone up too. I found a 40 lb box of special kitty ( Walmarts brand for 12 bucks) The Fresh step I tried was more expensive at 15 bucks for 18 lbs. We saw a bag of pine ๐ litter and it was cheap at 10 bucks for 10 lbs. We brought it home and I filled the box with it. The cats looked at me like I lost my mind! It's not clay little but little wood ๐ชต๐ช pellets! I didn't realize that you were supposed to put an inch in and cover it with clay litter at first ๐ holy cow ๐๐ฎ! Well I figured it out the next day and I found that covering the bottom with it, and putting a layer of clay litter made it usable! I saw that when they pee the pellets turn into sawdust and was easier to scoop! I learned they pee by the front and back, so I keep a bunch by those areas and it's a lot easier to keep it clean ๐ซง! Plus I'm using less clay litter. I scoop the box every morning ๐๐ธ adding a bit of each. Every week I clean the whole box out. This past week I noticed that: 1 there was no kitty cement ( pee turns clay litter into literally cement! The pellets keep it from happening! Big news ๐๏ธ๐ฐ in my world after 2 years! 2 the box stays cleaner longer and smells better because it's made from PINE trees and adding some each day keeps it smell like pine. 3 the Pine pellets are cheaper and I'm using less clay litter. Usually I throw away 2 garbage bags of small bags ( about 4 in each) and it's super heavy ๐ชจ to get it to the car and the dumpster ๐ญ๐. This time I had 2 smaller bags to deal with and having a bad back and body, this makes a difference about how worn out I didn't feel to get it done ๐โ ! So that's the best hack I've found so far y'all! Thanks for dropping by me mateys! If you have indoor kitties ๐ป you'll thank me! If not be glad! Hope you're day went well ๐ and see you tomorrow! Thanks for reading and responding! It really warms my soul. |
