A metaphor for my take on life and how it affects me.

I think of this as a job when I can't think of anything to write, and it's fun when my creative juices are flowing. That's how it works for me and I don't think I'm alone, but maybe.

I was able to get my walk in with my dog Gracie and we did 2+ miles, and that started my day. When I got back I helped my wife Lou do some digging, Next I took 6 boxes of old tax papers to a company that does shredding. It cost a couple of bucks but it was worth it.

I've had the opportunity to review a couple of people since I came back, but I'm not sure how good my reviews are. I had one I really didn't understand the content and I told him so, and said "I was sorry but I didn't know how to review it". That was the first time that has happened for me.

We're in for a heat wave for the next 3 or 4 days, but I'm sure we'll live through it. This summer has been pretty bad for a lot of people including my wife. Unfortunately she has been having hot flashes and they don't mix with hot weather. She smokes and does so outside the house in the garage or on the patio. When the weather got bad, she told me"I needed to get her a place she can smoke with air conditioning!" We had a shed that I used for welding and other things and we decided to turn it into her She Shed.I had someone come out and install air, then I had someone else out to insulate, and a third person to put in drywall and paint. I'm fortunate to do all this and stay within my means. She is happier now but still would prefer to be outside because that's where she wants to be.

I'm scheduled to have eye surgery on Monday, and the hospital called and went over all my medical history and the medications that I take. I was instructed what to take on the morning of my surgery, and the time to arrive. I'm due at 9am and surgery is scheduled for 11am. It takes about 30 minutes then into recovery. I go home after 30 minutes. Quick and easy, and I'm praying that all goes well. I have been blessed so far with all the surgeries I've had over the years. The good Lord has been with each time, and I have a wonderful wife who takes care of me when I get home. I have an appointment in the morning at 7:30 at LabCorp to have my blood drawn. A peace of cake, I've been poked and prodded many times over the years. I have thin arteries and sometime it takes more than one try to find the vein. Such is life you take the good with bad!
