| Evolution of Love Part 2 |
This write-up is dedicated to Lieutenant Colonel Vishnu Datta, for his services in the Indo-Pakistan war of 1971 on the Western front. Lieutenant Colonel Vishnu Datta was commissioned in the Corps of the EME (Electrical and Mechanical), which is responsible for the development, design, upkeep, inspection and refit of weapons, weapon systems and equipment, including repairs and recovery. In 1971, Lieutenant Colonel Datta was commanding the 610 EME Battalion from the summer of that year. He and the Battalion was deployed in the Chhamb-Jaurian sector around Akhnoor in Jammu when war broke out with Pakistan on the 3rd of December, 1971. The civilians were asked to evacuate the border villages and alongside aiding the villagers, the 610 EME Battalion flooded the fields. Often, Lieutenant Colonel Datta and his boys had to move in to aid the advancing infantry in clearing out stuck equipment right under enemy fire. He and his boys had to take cover and slowly advance to clear out the obstacles alongside aiding the infantry in moving up their equipment. Often, he and his comrades were welcomed by Pakistani artillery barrages. The Commanding officer of an infantry Battalion and Lieutenant Colonel Datta’s boys were involved in a joint operation. It was here, where the commander offered a ride to Lieutenant Colonel Datta to his headquarters. After reaching the headquarters, Lieutenant Colonel Datta got down and the Battalion commander pulled out his jeep and sat beside the driver’s seat when a Pakistani sniper shot hit him in the head! The jeep was barely out of the gate of the headquarters! And the seat where Lieutenant Colonel Datta was once sitting still had the corpse of the Battalion commander. He had just said ‘Bye’ to Lieutenant Colonel Datta. China had adopted a neutral state in the 1971 war but was actually, secretly supplying Pakistan with military hardware. Lieutenant Colonel Datta received intel about abandoned Pakistani tanks in a flooded field, which were actually Chinese Type-54 tanks. He and his boys went there and found Chinese number plates on them. Climbing up, he found the tanks loaded up with ammunition and food, mostly bread and channa. Two of these Chinese tanks were in full working order so after pulling out the tank munitions from them, he and his boys drove away with them. The tank munitions from all the tanks were loaded into these 2 working tanks and then they drove away. Unfortunately, this didn’t happen smoothly. Pakistani artillery guns and small arms fire targeted this small section of engineers and soldiers. Taking cover and returning fire, they managed to complete all the laborious tasks and drove out with the 2 working tanks. Also, with these 2 tanks, India finally had proof that could be presented to the United Nations about Chinese hardware flooding the warzone even though China’s stance was neutral. These 2 tanks were brought to Delhi as well which were shown to Mrs. Indira Gandhi. After the war ended, Lieutenant Colonel Datta kept the 2 Chinese license plates, but later, he presented the 2 tanks to the EME Museum in Secunderabad. My salutes to him. Jai Hind. |

You know the times I complain and grumble about life and its circumstances, about suffering, going through what seem endless trials and tribulations. Even yielding my members to unholy deeds. Yet God You are and always will be there with me, even when it seems like I am forever in the wilderness, running further and further from You, You, my God are there guiding me back to Your loving arms. |
| If money is your hope for independance, you'll never have it. The only real security that a man will have in this world is a reserve of your knowledge, experience and ability. The real measure of your wealth is how much you would be if you lost your money. Money is a terrible master but an excellent servant. Try to save something when your salary is small, it's impossible to save after you began to earn more. The individual investor should set consistently as an investor and not as an speculator. I am a great believer in luck and i found the harder I work I have it than luck. You must have control over your, money or the lack of it will control you forever.. Every time you borrow money, but you don't know you 're robbing your own future. The stock market is filled with individuals who know the price of everything and value of nothing. It's not how much money you make, but how much money you keep how hard it work for you and how many generation you keep it for. The habit of saving is itself an education, it foster every virtue, teaches self denial cultivate the sense of orders trains for forethought and so broaden the mind. If you don't value your time, neither will others, stop giving your time and talent. Value what you know and start change it. Don't tell me what you value, show me your budget, I'll tell you what you value If you live for having it all, what you have it will never enough. |
| Be entirely self-determined and ruled from within, not from without. Merely giving up a thing to secure a better one is not true relinquishment. Give it up because you see it is valueless. As you keep on giving up, you will find that you grow spontaneously in intelligence and power and inexhaustible love and joy. Desires and fears are not natural. They are entirely mind-made. You have to give up everything to know that you need nothing, not even your body. Your needs are unreal and your efforts are meaningless. You imagine that your possessions protect you. In reality they make you vulnerable. Realize yourself as away from all that can be pointed at as "this" or "that." You are unreachable by any sensory experience or verbal construction. Turn away from them. Refuse to impersonate. |
| ▪️Interestingly, 50% of a person's bones & 50% of the muscles, are in the two legs. *Do walk* ▪️The largest & strongest joints & bones of the human body are also in the legs. *10K steps / day* ▪️Strong bones, strong muscles and flexible joints form the *Iron Triangle* that carries the most important load i.e. *the human body."* ▪️70% of human activity and burning of energy in one's life is done by the two feet. ▪️Do you know this ? When a person is young, his/ her *thighs have enough strength , to lift a small car of 800 kg !* ▪️The *foot is the center of body locomotion*. ▪️Both the legs together have 50% of the nerves of the human body, 50% of the blood vessels and 50% of the blood is flowing through them. ▪️ It is the largest circulatory network that connects the body. *So walk daily.* ▪️Only *when the feet are healthy then the convention current of blood flows , smoothly, so people who have strong leg muscles will definitely have a strong heart.* Walk. ▪️Aging starts from the feet upwards ▪️As a person gets older, the accuracy & speed of transmission of instructions between the brain and the legs decreases, unlike when a person is young. *Please walk* ▪️In addition, the so-called Bone Fertilizer Calcium will sooner or later be lost with the passage of time, making the elderly more prone to bone fractures. *WALK.* ▪️ *Exercising the legs, is never too late, even after the age of 60 years.* ▪️Although our feet/legs will gradually age with time, exercising our feet/ legs is a life-long task. *Walk 10,000 steps* ▪️Only by regular strengthening the legs, one can prevent or reduce further aging. *Walk 365 days* ▪️ Please walk for at least 30-40 minutes daily to ensure that your legs receive sufficient exercise and to ensure that your leg muscles remain healthy. *You should share this important information with all your 40+years" friends & family members, as everyone is ageing on a daily basis*.* |
| An animated discussion was going on, one argument following another, without its leading to any feasible solution. Someone who was getting tired of this endless controversy said, "Mataji, there is a saying that when a lemon is squeezed too much it becomes bitter." Mataji: When a fire is raked up it burns brighter. Similarly by discussing religion and philosophy one’s interest in these subjects grows. Of course, it is also true that a lemon becomes bitter if squeezed too much. But when an earnest seeker discusses with the sincere desire to find Truth, his eyes will be opened. Some people's confusion is cleared up by reasoning, while others only become more perplexed by discussions. Everyone has his own way. When one’s problems are made more acute one feels disturbed and thereby ones Search will be intensified. Before thread can be spun and woven into cloth the pod in which the cotton was enclosed has first to be broken and entirely destroyed. To prepare oneself really means to uproot completely the sense of "I". So long as a trace of it is left He cannot shine forth, the revelation of Truth cannot dawn. |
| My father used to have, saying always, if you make a bad bargain, hug it all the tighter. I'd like to live as a poor man with lot of money in my pocket. Wealth is like a sea water--The more we drink, the thirster we become, and the same is the truth of game. If we command our wealth, we be rich and free from mental worries. If our wealth commands you we are really poor and dead. The best thing money can buy is financial freedom. My formula for success is rise early, work hard upto late and there is no substitute for it. If you don't get serious about your money than you will never have serious money. Money is like, a shadow while you try to catch it you can't but when you move forward it follows. Don't wait for approval. Not everyone will understand your vision. |
| IKEA is the world's largest furniture brand. With annual sales hitting ~$50B+, it's the King of "buy stuff you never planned to buy". Unsurprisingly, IKEA designs its stores with various psychological tricks to get you to spend more money. Here's are 12 of them. 1/ IKEA's first psychological hack is the business model: sell furniture that requires the effort of self-assembly. A 2011 Harvard study found people assign higher value to self-assembled goods (willing to pay 63% more vs. pre-assembled).Shocker: it's named "The IKEA effect" 2/ Store locations : IKEA stores also require "effort" (and time) to get there, with many of the chain's 440+ locations outside of big cities and in suburban areas. Once a shopper arrives after a long trek, they'll be motivated to buy something so as to not "waste the trip". 3/ Store flow: The "effort" continues in the store: first, you walk through IKEA's "showroom" (including 50+ inspirational settings.) After travelling 1km+, you pick up furniture in the "market hall". Subconsciously, buying goods is a reward for all the distance you've covered. 4/ Maze-like design: IKEA as a maze is a popular meme...but also true. Even though there are exits and shortcuts, the store is designed for a shopper to see everything on offer in the showroom. And, again, the "effort" of solving the maze increases the perception of value. 5/ Guiding arrows: The maze-like design is complemented by floor arrows that guide shoppers. This is another hack: you are handing over your decision-making (where to go) over to IKEA. This is psychologically disarming and primes you for a later purchase. 6/ Desensitizing environment: Like casinos, IKEA's showrooms and market halls don't have windows. Shoppers lose sense of time and space, staying focussed on the task of shopping. 7/ License to impulse buy: IKEA places small items everywhere: ◻️ Next to big-ticket items (eg. plates on a kitchen table) these look like a deal ◻️ Since it's a maze, you often pick up items "just in case you don't come back" ◻️ One purchase decision opens up the buying spigot. 8/ Writing down a list: IKEA makes pencil/paper available to write down the item # you want to pick up. While it's a memory aid, the act of writing plays on a classic persuasion hack: consistency. Once you've written down an item, you'll want to "follow through" on a purchase. 9/ In-store dining : IKEA's founder Ingvar Kamprad said "You can't do business with someone on an empty stomach." IKEA's have cafes where shoppers recharge, talk over potential purchases and -- crucially -- stay in the store longer. Insanely, IKEA sells 1B+ meatballs a year. 10/ Great value : IKEA has a "democratic design approach". It reverse engineers a product based on price first. The Scandinavian aesthetic (simple, clean designs) lends itself to furniture that can be "flat-packed" for easy pick-up. Also, self-assembly reduces cost (and price). 11/ Mirrors everywhere: It's no secret why: we're narcissists and can't keep eyes off of reflections of...ourselves. IKEA brings out this positive emotion by placing mirrors literally everywhere. 12/ The power of smell: Finally, IKEA's famous cinnamon buns are often placed near checkout. Smell is extremely powerful for memory recall. IKEA is linking what should be the most painful part of the experience (buying) with the soothing scent of home baking. |
‘The thoughts in the mind of the company around and behavioral confusion are caused by the surroundings. This confusion arises when one has to mix with those who are not introverts. One has to go above the waves after having a dip in the ocean. Man should take such an attitude. "They refuse to keep the stairway to Heaven clear or clean, since they crouch on the stairs midway, eating samosas and drinking chai (tea). "They do not believe in discipline, and push their way through the line!" The Lord said, "Oh, Indians are Indians! Heaven is home to all my children. If you want to know about real problems, give Saitan a call." Gabriel calls Saitan on the phone. Saitan picks up the phone,"Hullo! Saitan here." Gabriel - "Are you having any problems with the Indians in Hell?" Saitan says: "I'm sorry, Gabriel, I can't talk right now. "I am having a terrible time! "These Indians are installing air conditioning and are trying to make Hell a comfortable place to live in by putting out the fire, which is there to keep them sizzling hot !! "Since they are so tech savvy, they are making a telephone and Internet connection between Heaven and Hell, between ME & GOD !! "They have started a network Social Service for the Troubled, and are excellent in convincing others. "Some have opened a Chai Dukan with Bhajia, Khandvi, Dhokla, Chakli, Pau-Bhaji, Idli-Dosa, Samosa, Barfi, Kulfi, which I tried to stop. "They are corrupting everyone, and bribing my staff. "I have difficulty in controlling the graft and corruption in Hell. "They never complain, as this place seems to be better than from where they came! "I therefore request, "Oh GOD, PLEASE, as soon as Indians arrive, send them back to earth - for re-birth." 😄😄😄 So now you know – "Why Indians are the only ones that are re-born.." 😂😉 🤣😁😝😜 |
