Angus Author Icon, the key is in the wording here. I quote your post. between a receiver and a QB. It says receiver, not wide receiver. So yes, it's not fake news... unless the original wording did say Wide Receiver... Records are made to be broken though... lol.
If we're talking about breaking records here, Jim, I would think any vinyl put out by the Smashing Pumpkins would appropriate to this time of year.

It seems I must revise my previous comment. I was watching a YouTube video about the 2016 Chicago Cubs, "Joy in Wrigleyville", and discovered that Billy Corgan is a huge Cubs fan.

I talk to the characters on tv, lol. I might maybe kind of sort of do it when I read books too. If I'm not, then it hasn't hooked me just yet. As short as this story was, I was at work (sneaking lol) and yell out, "Oh snap!" and realized it was out loud. lol Good job it was sad, realistic, chilling, and clever. Loved it.

I don't know, your rules seem awfully strict. I mean, like WHY can't I use the word 'TRIMETROGON' more than 7 times? *Frown* That ruins my whole story! *Sob* And I get that I can't write more than 5000 words. Who wants to judge all that? But why can't I enter something with less than 1 word? Geez--so many rules!

Kind of a rough day for me today. Just found out my older brother is in the hospital for pneumonia. Don't have any other info right now.
Also found out yesterday that a good friend of mine on here, innerlight, found out her elderly mother is also having some major health issues of her own.
Any thoughts and prayers to my brother, innerlight, and her mother would greatly appreciated!

Some of you may know me, some of you may not, but the month of October is rapidly and frighteningly approaching, and with that comes my favorite holiday, Halloween! And you know what that means? The 6th annual "'SCREAMS!!!' HALLOWEEN CONTEST!" !
I will post the prompt(s) and update the rules on September 30th, so please, please, PLEASE read them first! They’ll be simple enough, but I don’t want anybody to have their story disqualified for not abiding by them! In short, you will have the entire month of October to write your tales of terror, and you can edit anytime before the midnight deadline of October 31st.
Even though this contest is XGC, certain things will NOT be allowed! These will be mentioned in the contest rules. I might be a very twisted and demented individual, but I DO have standards! If you have any questions, please email me as soon as possible about your concerns! I have no qualms about blood, guts and gore, but it would probably be in your best interest to do it tastefully. All applicable rules of my daily contest "SCREAMS!!!"  WILL apply!
Something new this year (still under consideration)!
A pumpkin carving contest, where you can send in a picture of your own pumpkin. I’m trusting you to go on the ‘honor system’ for this, but if you could put a sign with your handle in the picture to prove it’s really your pumpkin, it would be appreciated. The scariest one will win a special 10K awardicon on their portfolio! Might have to judge it yourselves, but you wouldn't be able to vote for your own!

Sounds like a LOT of spooky fun!
The wildfires in California, Washington, and S. Oregon are devastating! I just found out my oldest daughter and 3 Grandannasons had to evacuate their house in Medford (Oregon)! *Cry* And my youngest daughter and her family in Ashland (which is right next door to Medford) is prepared to evacuate!
Fortunately they’re all safe, but any prayers and good vibes for them and everyone back there would be very much appreciated.
