Welcome to WdC! I see you've learned how to post a link already. Good for you! *Delight* You'll get more views that way.

But you also need fans--people who have clicked your plus sign, preferably twice. One click sets you as a favorite of theirs, but it's private, so you don't know they did it, thus twice is better to become a fan and see the megaphone. *Wink* Some folks, like me, reward fans, so it's better to fan a person with the double click of their plus sign. *Bigsmile*

When you don't have any fans, only people who are on the Community Newsfeed (which is barely anyone, despite my constant harping) will see your notes. The Community Newsfeed is what everyone is posting (within your rating limit). By default, when you click Newsfeed, you only see your Personal Newsfeed. Here, you'll see only official WdC stuff and things posted by people whose plus sign you have clicked at least once (but preferably twice so they are notified and might reward you *Laugh*).

To see the difference, click Newsfeed on the left and scroll through your Personal Newsfeed briefly. Now, along the top part of your Personal Newsfeed, click the words, "View the Community Newsfeed." Now the filters are removed (except your ratings filter) and you'll see what EVERYONE is posting! *Party* Okay, not all of it is super exciting, but some of it is. *Bigsmile* Scroll, Like, comment, and start making friends!

As people see you commenting on their Newsfeed notes more and more, they'll start looking forward to seeing you around and will (hopefully) click your plus. Naturally, when you find a person you want to keep up with, you should click (or preferably double click) their plus.

Not sure what I'm talking about? While you're welcome to double click mine until you see the megaphone and I'm notified so I can send you 10k GPs (gift points--the WdC version of money), don't feel obligated. This is just a demo. *Wink*
