It was wonderful of you to do that.
I read the poem, it has a special feel about it. I loved it.
So, I'm watching the Coronation this morning and I couldn't believe my ears!

The priest overseeing the coronation sounded like the same priest in the movie, "The Princess Bride". You know the one...the one who starts out the scene..."wuove, twuo wuove." LOL *Rolling*
It is amazing and beautiful. To bad they couldn't have had nicer weather.
I love the Coronation. Beautiful.
Who ever thought that self publishing would be such a difficult task.

I may have finally gotten two poetry books published, but ReadersMagnet has given me more headaches than smiles over the past year.

I've had problems with deadlines, marketing, website issues, and even trying to get complementary issues.

If I had been more intelligent at the start, I would have told them to return my friend's money and to pass on their offer to publish.

And now I need to consider if it would be worth it to stay with them for more serious marketing or to go to an endorsement company and spend a bit more money on the possibility of attracting a traditional publisher.

Life can be so incredibly difficult sometimes. 😪
If you had problems with this company until now, going back for more of the same sounds like the definition of insanity.

Or

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

I have no first hand experience with Reader's Magnet, every single person who has dealt with them reports the same unsatisfactory outcome. I have yet to see someone gushing over that company. Or even give a neutral opinion.

Interestingly, Chris Breva Author Icon had a positive experience with them. "Note: “Teatime” by Chris Breva, Barboursville WV author,..."
I'm hoping someone can give me some advice so I might avoid a scam.

I was contacted by someone saying they are with Sky Connection Partners. Apparently, they scout books, manuscripts, and the like for acquisitions and be mediators for traditional publishing companies.

I guess my question is if anyone has heard of them, or any others like them. I just want to make sure it's not shady.
Thank you so much everyone for your input and thoughts. It really helps.
You can search and see if any books are actually published with Sky Connection Partners? Then ask those authors what they think about the company, Hope it helps Elfin Dragon-finally published Author IconMail Icon. Also check with other Literary Agents.
Thank you, I did send an email directly to the company to find out if they had any such person as who contacted me.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to see if any books are published with Sky Connection Partners because they are only mediators with the Traditional Publishers. But I like your idea of contacting other LIterary Agents. I think that's a wonderful idea.\

SOoooo,
Exciting news from me. *BigSmile*

After all the tears & heartache...I've finally gotten my poetry books published!!! *Shock2*

I know! Hard to believe, huh.

Both are under the main title: Call From the Darkness
1 ) A Collection of Dark Poetry
2 ) A Spiritual Journey

I'm still having some trouble getting the link to work at my website. But, both can be found at Amazon
and the first book can also be found at Barnes & Noble.

If you're curious about my website it's at: https://www.lisamgordier.com/
It's not completely set up yet, as I've mentioned, but I'm just so excited I've finally gotten this part of my journey accomplished. *Smile*

I hope, in the future, to add some fantasy stories to those poetry books.
I am so pleased for you.

Congratulations!!
Thank you everyone for your support. *Wink*
I'm SO Ticked off!!! I'm trying to find a fabric I need for a fabric that was apparently made exclusively for Joann's Fabric and Craft Store. All stores in my state are Out of Stock. Several stores in several other states are Out of Stock. And when I finally find one in ...Spokane, Washington...They tell me they can't take my order over the phone because it's a "special order" and I have to order it online! The problem is when I'm online because they only have 9 yards of it, it tells me I have to pick it up curbside or go in the store!!!! Aaaarrrrgh!

Now how are customers like me supposed to finish their projects? (sigh) At the moment my only option is to buy the same fabric from someone on Etsy who is only selling by the 1/2 yard for the same price Joann's is selling for the full yard. Now that is a rip-off. But I suppose they could quote supply and demand.

Well, now that I've ranted... I suppose I'll do my wait-and-see dance. Mostly because I really can't afford to buy from the Etsy person because I do need at least 2 yards of the fabric. I might need more, I need to do some measurements. I'm hoping a discount fabric wholesale store might pick it up. : *Pray*
Lisa, what is the project cause you might be able to tweak the project?
I'm so sorry. If there is any in or even around the Los Angeles area, I'm willing to get it for you and ship it. *Smile* You do the leg work to find it and I'll do the, uh, car work to get it? *Laugh* I haven't been outside of LA much, so I'm willing to travel some. *Bigsmile*
Woo Hoo, So, my short story was approved for the "reedsyprompts" contest #98! I'm so excited. *BigSmile* It's my first time.

I've entered that a couple of times. It can be a fun challenge! Best of luck! I hope you win that $50!
From my Mom's statements and my own observations - I've become my father.

That guy is hilarious! He did some great COVID songs. *Laugh*
*Rolling*
Thanks for sharing this -- really fun!
(And I think I've become my Mom, but let's not go there! *Wink*)
So, was looking at songs by Jim Nabors because Jay O'Toole Author IconMail Icon had such a lovely Sandi Pattie song. Yes, for some reason her song reminded me of Jim Nabors lovely singing voice.

Anyway, I came across a skit he did with the Muppet Show and it was so funny I thought I'd share it with everyone.

Great song, Thankful Sonali. 😃
So, this coming Memorial Day as we remember those who've died for us and those who still serve...I thought it would be nice to also know that even the US Marines have a sense of humor. *Smile*

Thanks for sharing! What an awesome video! I think, to me, the most impressive part is all the starting and stopping. Wow!
And some very skillful musicianship to go along with that sense of humor!
Thanks for that very clever!
Today we lost writer Eric Carl, writer of "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" and other wonderful children's books. *Frown*
What he did for children's literature is phenomenal!
So, I was watching the news and saw that the comedian Paul Mooney has passed away. He was a huge influence for many as he was unapologetic and said things as they were. He was most famous for the SNL skit he wrote in 1977 for Richard Pryor and Chevy Chase Job Interview.
WARNING: THIS SKIT CONTAINS RACIAL NAMES -

I loved him on Dave Chappelle Show too. He was hilarious. *Cry*
