| Does anybody really want to know? I fell on my forehead on the pavement trying to push the green barrel full of cuttings from trimming the hedges along the fence the day after New Year's. It's too bad I cannot upload a picture of how nasty I look because I'm not a Premium member. Suffice it to say, thank God test results showed no internal damage or hemorrhage. I just have to live with my black and purplish face for a few weeks. It's not a happy New Year for me! Happy New Year to my WDC Reviewer's Group nonetheless. |

| I had a heck of a time with the Post Office today. I needed to intercept a Priority mail I sent to Atlanta, Ga on August 19. Supposedly the delivery date was August 21. When I tracked it initially, it was delayed and delivery date was moved to August 25. Storms in the East Coast caused the delay. After August 25 there was no update from USPS and it sat there with no activity. I went to the PO and complained about the missing mail. All week long I was struggling to get an update but postal clerks were not accommodating. I was told I have to go online using my home internet because USPS does not allow the public to use Federal property internet. The problem was my PC was infiltrated with a Trojan.Slocker virus that locked it down completely. When I took it to Staples to clean it, the technician couldn’t access it either. I was advised to go to a specialized computer geek to diagnose the problem. This geek had no way of getting into my PC either and my only recourse is to buy a new one inasmuch as this PC is close to twenty years old and Windows 10 will not be supported anymore come October ‘25. Now I’m screwed. Good thing my laptop air is a good standby and I was able to access USPS website. It took me all afternoon to finally succeed in filing my Intercept Request. It was grueling to find my way through the maze. At 7P.M. this evening I finally felt like a nail was pulled out of my foot. What a relief of an ordeal it was. All I have to do now is anxiously wait for my intercepted mail to come back. But I kid you not. Dealing with PO personnel is a struggle I wouldn’t wish on anybody especially retired folks who are not techie savvy like me. Can anybody relate? I’d like to hear from you. |
I've tried to use th USPS website to locate packages or find out when it will arrive, but it doesn't seem to know or think it has already arrived. Our small PO has friendly people, but I've never done anything with them except send or pickup a package. They are usually helpful to find the package in the back. Then again, that's what is usual out here in the middle of the Pacific.    |
