New stuff on memories that I just finished this morning. Entitled "Edges" as they are memories on the edges of memory. These are just a little more serious fare than my nostalgic comedy.

Still waiting on another interesting dream, but just stress dreams lately, not particularly interesting to write about.

Some other short story items still there in the Field and Stream kind of vein. Enjoy.

How long do people generally keep pieces of writing in their portfolio? Is a paid account really worth it to you?

I went to an Upgraded account just to get access to the Book type of item. I don't see myself going beyond this lowest level of paid account. I'm nowhere near my limit, so there's no hurry to clean thing up, but once in a while I do get rid of some of the weaker stuff. (Though it is all backed up on my PC, as it's easy to export your entire portfolio as a date-stamped zip file.)

YES!!!!!!!!

My portfolio is the home of "disABILITY WRITERS GROUP" , and I believe this family group of wonderful members deserves the very, very best I can do and offer them/this group.

I still have pieces in my port from when I joined eight years ago. I originally purchased a paid membership specifically for book item access. I don't come anywhere else to my item limits for my tier, but I like the flexibility of not having to decide which items to cull every time I want to write something.

So, I would say it is worth it, with the caveat of "it depends on the kind of writer you are, how you want to show off your work, and your tolerance for organizing."

I also like that it keeps the site running, since backend admin isn't free.

That's not a dig at anyone with an unpaid membership—I get not everyone can or wants to upgrade. It's just one of the reasons I personally do it.
