Exactly the way I have felt on more than one occasion! It is so very difficult when you have so much to say, but nothing will come to you. As someone who writes as they are "inspired" everything that I write is a story and has taken grasp of my heart. Some of my most difficult writing was doing essays for college papers. The hardest was when I have had to write about things that do not inspire me or "speak" to me. And when nothing at all does, it makes it even more difficult. Sometimes, you just need a quiet place for the muse to return. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this.
What an interesting story! You gave it a quick and catching beginning, that led me to believe maybe I was looking at this through the perspective of a pet. Someone outside looking in as the world moves about in all it's normal glory, without knowledge of the prying eyes that one doesn't even realize is watching. The details through the diary entries really keep the reader engaged, wondering what details they will find in the next entry. The ending was a complete shocker and I was not expecting it. Rather, I felt a different turn of events than was shared, but it would, of course have left the story going for quite some time. So to have a tragic end, in more ways than one was a delightful spin!
If it wasn't for the title of this, I am not sure I would have realized this was written about chocolate. However, I most would agree with the words written and the description of temptation and well as pleasure at finding that perfect piece of sinfully delicious sweetness! Thank you for sharing such heartfelt desirable delights!
A very light-hearted sing song poem with just the right touch of heartfelt thanks. It does not say who the teacher and friend is exactly but the words paint a picture of someone that means very much and has given a lot of courage to someone. The writing style is very familiar to me as I wrote in the same. It is an easy read and enjoyable. Thank you for sharing.
An interesting read, although I do wonder if this advice comes from experience. You hint that the relationship is one of long lost lover, I would dare to impart that it does not always work that way. Sometimes, two lovers are meant to love from afar. And although they can rekindle the desire, it is not always the path one should follow.
However, I give you props for reaching inside and making people think. This could be applied to friendships long past, those that you enjoy the company of, but have let life drift you away from.
