I am no expert on anything. So I can only tell you how something makes me feel. My native language is also not English and I am not an American. So I might not understand culture specific expressions. 5: If I absolutely love the item and would remember it and even recommend others to read it by posting it in my newsfeed. I will also give 50 GPS+ if I have any GPs left in my account. 4-5: If I like the item, but not enough to recommend it to others and post the link in my newsfeed. No GPs. 3 -4: If the item is okay. I kept on reading it because I thought I might change my opinion, but the item failed to meet my expectation. On the other hand I did not find any grammatical or spelling errors in it. 2-3: If the item is something which I didn't get at all and found at least one grammatical/ spelling error. 1 -2: I did not like it at all and could not even feel like reading it to the last.

It is good that you could share your thoughts here....

Dear Vancouver Resident,
The call of this piece is truly desperate. But I wish there were description of the kind of harassment faced by the narrator. Perhaps you wanted to keep it hidden for certain purpose.
This piece raises concern if it is not a work of fiction.
Regards,
Tammy

Dear Harry:
I read your poem. I am not so literate on poetic forms and structure but what I found in your poem was beyond literally value. There was a touch of history and you spoke of all the injustices that was imposed on people of colour by 'Whites'. But I was hoping that you'd talk more about the silent racism that inflicts the American society today.
You did talk about the imprisonment issue, but what about the inequality or the alienation the separation, the segregation, -- how people (mostly white) would automatically attach crimes with black people and blame them for their own misfortune.
Anyways, I did go to the site you referred and the book with the title 'Poetry Books Don't Sell' caught my attention. I am hoping to check it out someday.
Keep writing.. that's one way to give voice to the voiceless.
Regards,
Tammy

I was about to write to you that this made a great children's story until I came to the last 'teaching'! But it did amuse me. Anyways, it was a good enjoyable quick read.

This is funny. I am glad I read this. This pay prove useful for my upcoming days. I liked how you wrote the story without too much description, kept things simple and straight.

And the ending with a mystery twist. I like short stories like this.

All the Best!

Dear Anastasia,
This no doubt is a modern day fairy tale. But I thought it was going to be more realistic before you entered the part where the city froze and the whole story reverted back to a fairy tale.
But I enjoyed reading it.

Dear PonchoPrincess,

I find this poem interesting and amusing in a dark dark way. The place where I felt that the rhyme went a little jerky...Those seven men will miss that ass

One more thing, I noticed that you hardly used any punctuation. Was that done purposefully? I would think punctuation and separating the stanzas will make the poem read better.

All the best.

Dear Abigail,

I think you touched upon quite an important topic and the pros and cons related to it. Now if I were you, I would start off the essay in first person. Say, bringing the conclusion on top and starting off.. like. .'As a person growing up in the 21st century, an era in which technology and social media, has become part and parcel of everyday life, I find it intriguing to learn how these factors affect the lives and health of teenagers.....

While presenting the pros and cons of social media I think it is better that you first write down the paras with the pros and then go to the paragraphs with cons and finally sign off the way you did.

A second or a third read should bring out the small grammatical errors that's inside the essay here and there.

All the best.

These are feelings I have left behind... not it seems years ago. The truth is it hasn't been long since I stopped writing poems about loss like the one you describe here... losing someone letting go of someone... I can relate to this poem . I have been through all that many a times..

Dear Jim,

We in our culture, call educated people who out their knowledge to bad use sinner of knowledge. Reading your piece, I was reminded of that word, 'Gyaan-Paapi'.

Writing a satire using just dialogues is not always easy. But you have attempted the hard thing. I appreciate your effort.

Keep Writing. and Happy WDC Anniversary!

Dear Angel,
This one made me laugh. A amusing read. It is fun to read something you are familiar with from a different perspective.
I need to visit your port to find if you have tried your hand at re-writing a fairy tale.

All the best,

Perhaps the telly,
the society Willie see
He wanted to be good
would have loved healthy food
but movies told him to be high
he needed to comply
and thus you see
the running Willie
not in night gown
but with a frown.

Dear Angel,
I grew up with this rhymes. Your poem reminded me of my own childhood while presenting the reality of children in our society now.

It was a witty one --- your poem. I liked reading it.
All the best!

Dear girlinwhite:
I like this prose. Somewhere somehow, I can relate to it.
A few suggestions: in the second line it will be 'its alluring beauty' not 'it's alluring beauty'.
And if you can increase the font of your writing, it will be easier for readers to read this thoughtful but serene piece.
All the bests.

Dear Angus,
I love this piece.
I Think I have a thing for giving voice to things that don't tell us their stories on their own. Hmmm really.. a tree in its own natural surrounding looks the best. Do we humans even have the heart to see it?
All the best.

Sometimes you can't see even with eyes wide open, because you select what you want to see.
In place of earth you see heaven.
In place of blood you see sin.
In place of children you see promised virgins.

If only people could realise that they need to heal their own hearts, look inside and find the truth, if there was any absolute truth.

Dear Prohtpiz,
You have been quite neutral at your satire. (Though the Bernie Sander and Hillary Clinton part was difficult for me to absorb). But I should give you credit for being so neutral and what imaginations. The 2016 election is at least producing some good satire writers huh?

All the best

Dear QueenOwl:

I am doing this review as part of your Birthday Review. Happy Birthday (hope I am not too late).

I read the intro to your story and thought, yeah I want to know where the expression 'Holy Cow' came from. And guess what I ended up learning a new word kaffeeklatch or in British English kaffeeklatsch.

One small thing I wanted to bring to your attention about Indians and beef. India is a country where people of different religions live --- Hindu, Muslim, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jain, Jews and hundreds of tribes following their own animist belief. Beef is not banned in all of India. Only in some states. So it is not fully correct to say that Indians do not eat beef. Hindus of be it India or any other countries in the world do not eat beef, because they consider the cow holy.

WDC is a great place to learn about other cultures. Don't you think?

Best Wishes.

Tammy

Dear Chrisdaltro:

Happy Birthday! I hope I am not too late. I thought I will send you a review on your birthday (what can be a better gift than that for a writer).
Your story --- well I could relate to it well. But for me the mirror has almost become repulsive. I loved looking at it once. Now the face with all the lines and gray hair ... I run away from it as quickly as possible.
Aging and accepting is hard and it came up well in your story.
All the Best and Best wishes!

Dear InfoWarrior:
This is really a different kind of poem, that I came across in WDC in the last one and half years. You have chosen a very difficult topic and your anger on the mad mad monetary system is rightfully depicted.
There should be more poetry on such issues.
All the best!
