Aptly said.
A poem about natural and inherent love. Though two halves, they are in fact a whole. One cannot exist without the other.

The way you have shown the oneness of being in love is consistent and convincing and weathers no opposition. A well made point.
"We, together, are a union of Two"

That two people in love become one is everybody's knowledge.

The special point here is to treat an old theme in a novel way.
"We, together, hold the certainty
Of Love Everlasting"

The value and meaning of togetherness is shown very well. It causes me to think about the ways and means of loving sincerely and devotedly.

It flows well with visual imagery and it offers a lot to ponder.

I like the way you translated something damaging as rain leak into a precious painting into an artistic manifestation.
That definitely explains the advantage of a positive outlook.

Points to ponder-
The weather in London and the condition of roads.
"The large droplets of water crashed against Martin’s raincoat as he skipped from puddle to puddle."
A tough walk to the art gallery.

The reckless way of handling something exclusive.

I wonder why "inevitably".

All the feelings she expressed show the kind of loving person she was. Her intent in writing this verse too is so impressive. She knew how much she would be missed, yet she didn't want to be chained.

"Perhaps my time seemed all too brief
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief"

I admire her fearless nature in the face of death. She obviously took it as a way of God. There's so much to learn from her regarding life, happiness and the ultimate death.

Your day at the lake has taken you down the memory lane. Your are looking at the past in a new light. By far it helps you understand the way you perceive the present.
For example the pebble throwing incident, which no longer interest you as it used to be. You also added a personal angle to it, with which I wholeheartedly agree.
"Besides he did not like pelting the stream. Over the years it had become like a special friend.."

Nature is at her best if no one disturbs her calm.

The story ended quite naturally. As he dozed lulled by the murmuring stream and the birds around.

Very picturesque!

Halloween atmosphere is created very well in this nicely flowing verse. You brought in the horror element with the witch’s potion stirring in the cauldron, zombies, ghouls, goblins and the ghosts.

Words are used economy conveying exactly what is needed

I find it specially interesting that flying witch wishes the world, a happy halloween.

Imagery appeals to senses.

Each day is made interesting by showing some mishap or the other, punctuated by, but, still, nevertheless and so on.

It is a bit of a consolation to find that such days are almost over. The rest hopefully would be all good ones minus unwanted things.
Well, we never know.

I stopped to re-read certain lines because it looked as though it was me. It is as if you are spreading the panorama of life before my eyes.

I wonder whether you need to think of calling yourself a poet, when you know what it feels like one. Your verses prove that. Your words ooze sensitivity and lyrical charm.

Only a poet is aware of truth, painful though it might be.

"My life, then, would seem as though
it had been a clever choice and those around me
who have no use for my words
would be spared having to read them."

So what? Loss is theirs. As long as your words are a spontaneous flow of feelings, does it matter if others read them?

Your reflections are observations of life's lessons and experiences, the quintessence of real poetry.

I can see despite "regret" and "self pity," you enjoy writing, the blessed silver lining in the cloud.

I find this supernatural story very interesting.

The story is pretty novel. I find all the various supernatural clans are living within short distance of each other and that they started being friendly neighbors too.
We did read that werewolves and vampires don't see eye to eye. Witches and sorcerers have the same problem.
Your brought three of them together and created some friendly conversations too. Those exchanges are quite interesting too.

It is an absorbing story.

No wonder you have been thinking about Abe Lincoln, his values and ideals. The occasion calls for it.

To me, he is iconic. A strong and supportive person that happens one in a century.

I too like those reflective afternoons and empty playgrounds. The sun sometimes, especially in summer is hot enough to make me stay in shelter. But as I cycle around the playground of the school nearby, I feel the welcoming warmth of the afternoon sun on my skin during the early winter days.

You said there is something sad about this atmosphere. True, because there's no one around and it as if they abandoned the sun and nature looks lonely too.

However, your thoughts have shown that nature looks beautiful at any hour of the day. It changes color and ambiance. It has its own charm all through the day.

I like the reflective tone and the leisurely pace of the piece.

It reads well.

Yes, this is more like my day too.
You did a great job parodying Christmas. Any festival could be jarring for the wife with a job.

This looks like everybody decided to give you a trying day, the headache being the result.

Fun line:
"When I walk through my door to find that my kid has lost his mind
Now he's eating sticks"

You have created a real entertainer highlighting how tough a daily routine could be for a mother and one who takes care of the dog and cat too.

The rhythm is intact and it moves well with the way she feels the boredom yet loving it. All of it grows on one I guess.

This poem is just right for this generation. Or, for any generation.
Seasons of life and their attendant cravings and misgivings are well depicted.

Regret, worry and concern rule the players on the stage of life. You have shown freedom from attachments alone can let mind wander and find salvation.

Although it sounds like lullaby, it has this aura of mystery surrounding it. Who is he? what is the child's connection to him? Similar questions come to my mind.

There's no mention of father. So I cannot presume the person in the context to be her father.

However, the last stanza clarifies that he is no more. Dead and gone to an unfathomable distance. He is not even remembered by many. He must have been dead for a long time now.
So why would the mother want the kid to recall him and her memories of him now?

As I said, I find it interesting.

It flows very well with rhythm intact.

As you said in the poem, music is sublime, a language of the soul. It has the power to cross language barriers to have an uplifting effect on the listener. It is difficult to imagine life without music. In India ( my country) every event from birth to death has a song made to bring out its importance.

Religious and devotional music can bring in vital changes in the life of a person or persons.

That music is superior that lets us communicate with God, tell him of our pains and pleasures and express gratitude for His support and love.

I can see that you are magically floored by love. Love never alters and even if it does, it will alter to something better.

It is difficult to explain the effect of love.
A bit off the usual comparisons, Shakespeare compares lovesickness to a “tooth ache”.

Sounds funny, yet on second thoughts, it sounds true. It continues to bother till you find the antidote.

“ Life would be unbearable if we were apart.”

This is quite a realistic poem on love with true to life imagery.
