An insightful piece. We need this kind of reminder now and then. The children are the future of this world. Not just in America. All children are the same regardless where they live. The same as adults are the same regardless where THEY live. Why people of this world cannot understand that, I will never know. Maybe they are in a constant deniel mode, and don't want to be bothered with it. A day will come when they will be face to face with it, and no way to escape from it. I relish the thought of that day, and will have no pitty for them. God will give them exactly what they deserve for turning their back to such a thing. Thank you for sharing this. wrdz

An excellent piece of writing. I can underdstasnd some of what you hasve written, and I shall elaborate more.
If I may, I shall put this writing into sections.
Section 1:
Regaining control over ones life.
This is something that may be natural for us to try to do, but reality has more power here. Reality will tell you the true fact that it has taken over your life. From that point on, you will be constantly reminded of only real, and true facts.
Section 2:
Simply refusing to die.
You being the exception to the "general" rule means that the truth is, God has more things planned for you. The doctor has no real answer for you, so he tells you that you simply refuse to die for some unknown reason. You now have an expertese. You will learn from reality how to apply that expertese.
Section 3:
Your uncanny "gift" of indentification is part of God's way of connecting youi to His chain link (which only gets stronger with each link). Patients' ability to say thing to each other that can't be said to family or extremely close friends is only a part of your link that gives you the ability to understand even better than you already did when you first stared talking to a fellow survivor.
Section 4:
Such extreme acts of treatment give good cause for the extreme ability to grasp life, and hold on with the help and understanding from God. You understand how you could survive such an extreme measure of treatment. No one else can unless they have gone through it. That is why doctors say it is contradictory
because they have no other way of expressing it.
Section 5:
Because you are about to die, knowing that you have done nothing to help anyone else, is why God gives you a reason to. To help other cancer survivors with understanding about their experiences.
Sectin 6:
I don't think God will ever give us any reasons about living, but dying is another thing. I think he lets usd understand the finality of death. Once we understand that, well, what else needs to be said. It is then engrained into our very being and becomes primary to our very exitence. That is why it is a daily part of a cancer survivors' life. Hope becomes so strong, that if taken away, it is really near the end; for thyere is nothing left.

Can you imagine the horror and torchure of wathing an event like a hurricane aproaching land, knowing you have the power to stop it from happening, and yet letting it happen? It would have to be mindboggling to know that this event was of your doing. The lives involved, and the property losses. Yet it is all in the name of having people be able to go to their real homes. For this is what must happen in order for us to go to our real homes. I'm glad I know our God, and that He is a loving, caring God. Regardless which way He chooses to take me home.
