This is a poem I wrote when I found out my parents were splitting up
Stuck
Inside a box
I try to move
To feel everything outside
But the lid is shut tight
My heart won't let me see

Stuck
Inside a house
That no longer feels like home
But there's no where else to go
No where else I've been

Stuck
Inside a family
One I didn't want to break
But cannot fix this time
They won't let me in
Or out

Stuck
Going where I've already been
Stuck
Doing things that won't make the hurt go away
Stuck
Inside a box
Inside a place
Where I no longer wish to be...
