Lightning
Flashes brightest blue,
Power flowing through me, through
The sunbeam full of photons
True
As reality,
Compressed in me,
Release it free,
Like anger burning,
Stomach churning,
No! I cannot harness,
Quiet is the calmness,
Grab hold and explode,
A fire uncontrolled,
Look out with daring eyes
As glaring as the midday light,
Dazzling gold,
Be brave and bold!
Direct the force that was compressed,
Break down the walls that did oppress,
Rise high above the highest crest,
With wings outstretched in certainty,
Fears have drowned inside the sea,
My mind so far and very free,
As striking as the tallest tree,
Forget me, mock me, hate me,
I’ll not break nor blunder,
Pain no longer hurts me,
My voice as strong as
The loudest roar of
Thunder.
