Thunder storms, Scary scary!
That seemed like a long time ago
How the world dripped off our noses
And though it wasn’t all that cold
The sky’s great laughter turned us to stone.

All we should have done was run
Our shadows purple in great thud
Oh it seem such fun
But just look around at what we’ve found

How lonely can one place get?
As matter melts from sky to mind
We followed the signs of thunderous steps
And joked about how bad it could be.

Oh, our smiles they couldn’t stay
And the sky yelled right above our head
Soon it was howling out your name
But we were close & all that poetry was dead.
