Written while watching the sun set |
| Alone At Suset The wind etched across the setting sky, blowing her hair as a whisper. As far as could be seen by eyes, clouds caressed the distance. Alone I sat and pondered, why beauty was seen by one, Not two bodies, embraced in wonder, just me and the setting sun. Azure blue against fire red, clouds wispy in the sky. Nightfall fell and nothing said, I waved my hand goodnight. And one last look, before it left, and one last smile tonight. I'll snuggle up alone in bed, another night of teary eyes. But one day I'll be together, with a loved one by my side. And the setting sun will gather, to smile and wave goodnight. S A Gibbins 9-03-05 |
