Some words on love's sound. |
Do we really need to speak, when love should convey all. Does a hug need a name, when warmth should fire hearts. If our hearts silently tell all, do we really need to speak? Would a rose still be the same, if sounds made its petals fall; Words, no matter how meek, break silence when they call. Do we really need to speak; passion a universal language. But actions still tell much more, as in an embrace we slip to the floor. In a voice neither small nor a shriek, do we really need to speak? “I need you,” I proclaim In a voice neither small, Nor a howling shriek. |
