My expedition through a haunted school.
Deep into the run down school;
As far as fear could drive us.
Along with me, the friends I brought,
Were curious with motives.

We were told an urban tale
The school was burnt to crisp
By actions of a janitor,
Who touched and toyed with kids.

He made them keep his secrets.
And promised them nice toys.
His mind was sick and twisted,
With little girls and boys.

Deep into the school, he led
The younglings down below.
Down toward the boiler room,
The scariest place to go.

But children can’t keep secrets
So innocent, so true.
And once the staff had noticed,
He knew what he had to do.

The yearly play was starting;
Both teachers and kids inside.
The auditorium was lively,
And filled with great school pride.

He closed and blocked the exits;
All windows and all doors.
He lit the place on fire,
And smiled all the more.

Deep into the school we went;
Three stories down below.
Down into the boiler room,
And thoughts that fear has sewn.

Night vision with my camera.
They trust what I can see.
They walk in total blindness,
In circle around me.

We sit around the boiler.
The six of them still wait.
They joke and laugh and giggle.
I watch their eyes dilate.

I feel the dawn is coming.
The six of them should leave.
The screen inside my camera shows,
There's seven around me.
