My Love For You

A poem I wrote for my dad for Christmas.

There are moments in life,
That we all remember,

Not because of the place,
But the person you were with,

I have those memories,
I remember them like yesterday,

You were there and so was I,
Dancing together so peacefully,

Seconds felt like hours,
Hours like years,

Moments and memories I will never forget,
Because you were in them,

Sometimes we don't always get along,
But I know you love me,

I just had to stop and take the time,
To wish you a Merry Christmas,

And I thought you needed to know,
How much I love you,

So to you Dad,
You have to know,

Nothing that you say or do,
Could ever stop me from loving you.
