What is an ache and what is a pain?
Being away from my family yet again.
It’s the suffering I feel, with no real gain.
Reunited, the pain will go – the ache shall remain.

The solitude felt when a relationship ends,
brings on a heartache that time finally mends.
Death brings sorrow, a gut wrenching grief.
We know they have gone, yet we show disbelief.

An ache is a feeling that won’t go away.
An ache can last for many a day.
A pain is acute and hurts so bad.
Left untreated, it can drive you mad.

World bankers – obsessed with global recession.
I doubt if they know about real depression.
The feeling of gloom, no one by your side.
Your mood swings from joy to suicide.

Your life is precious, do not despair.
You must stay alive to prove that you care.
Show your emotions to keep yourself sane.
Talk to someone when you ache or feel pain.

Life is just obstacles that fate throws our way,
some we will clear, others trip us and we pay.
We pick ourselves up, get back into the race.
Until the next hurdle we are forced to face.
