Fear of thunderstorms (An Acrostic Form) |
Crawl beneath the covers Outside, the thunder roars Violently shaking the Earth's core. Ending is no where in sight Rain pounces your windowpane. Monstrous sounds assault your ears Every cell in your body quakes. Under the blanket you quickly hide Peeking in hope of a reprieve. Weather in its tumultuous glory Inching ever closer still, Time has no beginning or end Hell is what you're going through. The heavens open wide Hail plummets from the sky Earth is rocked on its axes. Tears flow from closed eyes Ears covered with trembling hands All your fear is being realized Rocking back and forth, hugging knees. Sanity has long since fled. Off in the distance the thunder rumbles Finally over. You shake off the terror. Time to return to practical thinking Heaven is shining once again, the Earth is still standing strong. Sky is now a beautiful blue Kinder too is the wind. You're safe once again. {/center} |
