Poem written 9/20/05

Sometimes I just wish I could escape
From everything that's happening
I wish I could just run and never stop
Until I got away from everyone
I want to get away
From all the teasing and yelling
I want to get away from myself
Wouldn't it be nice
If you could just turn into a bird
And just fly away from everything
Fly away from all your problems
Until you're ready for them
It would be so nice to escape from it all
