My First Vote - Contest Entry

A poem about voting

Vote for peace, vote for honour 
Vote to help those who would have been goners
Vote for this, vote for that
If you vote for tit, I'll vote for tat

All of this advice swirls in my mind
Vote for the person likely to be kind
Vote for the campaign that is not fake
Can I not just vote for voting's sake?

It's hard to keep a hold of truth
Vote for the opinion with the most proof
Voting's important to elect
The person who will give power effect

But at the start, in the end
The politician is never our friend
My first time to choose the lots
My paper is blank when put in the box
