Like my grandfather whittling on a stick
you have whittled away my defenses.

My heart is fully in your grasp
for the first time I feel safe, content, and at ease.
You are incredible with your understanding,your patience,
your sense of right and wrong.

I was attracted to you from the start but so afraid to trust
yet you patiently waited and won my heart fully.
There is no doubt that little by little we found each other
soulmates forever bound.
