If I Could Change the World

If I could change the world today
These things I’d want to do
Relieve the world of hunger
Nourish minds as well as souls
I’d make the roads less bumpy
So it’s easy to drive upon
for work, to shop, tend college

I wish I could change the world in a day
But that wish will never come true
I cannot even change my ways
When opportunities come through

If I could change the world today
These things I’d want to do
I’d find a lonely stray outdoors
To a home with comfy floors
When neighbors struggle with their shovels
I’d walk there myself, and dig in deep
I'd lend a hand to all the elders
And get them off their feet

I wish I could change the world in a day
But that wish will never come true
I cannot even change my own ways
When opportunities come through

But I cannot change the world today
or another for that matter
Certainly what I might offer
Not worth it why would I bother?
My importance is nil, my hindsight’s my skill
Hunger,pains will continue their pattern
