A new love

I don’t know how to start, what shall i do in order to gain your heart? The thing that i seek, the thing i can’t seem to earn. More and more these days it seems like everyone else is better than me, more deserving than me. Maybe it’s true, i guess we’ll just have to see. I’ll do my best, try my best, and maybe, finally i can be what you seem to seek. But he, the one i can not seem to beat, always ahead, always the best, always one step in front of me. Maybe someone else already has you falling. I'm trying so hard, maybe in vain, to gain the lead. I want to become that person for you, something more than me, something better and greater. You’ve asked me, and sometimes i feel i didn’t supply the right answers as to why i wanted you, to be with you. But the answer is simple, actually no, it's not simple, your not simple, you’re complex, your different and unique and wonderfully you. In every single quirky amazing weird way. Where some people judge i merely praise. Your smile, your laugh, you sense of humor and your idominable strength, not willing to stand still and take abuse from anyone, a supporter of equal rights with the want to help others. I want to get to know you in every deep kind of way i can, the bad, the good, and everything before after and between. In a room full of beauty you are the only one i see. If i had to choose between everything i love and a chance to be with you i would choose you in a heartbeat. When you're sad i'll hold your hand and hug you. When you're happy i'll smile and laugh with you. When your mad ill say sorry and hope you can forgive me. When someone hurts you i'll fight for you, when you're in danger, i'll die for you. Maybe its extreme, but it's honestly what i think. But unless you give me a chance, i guess we'll never see. I admire you and respect you, you bring the best out of me like no other. You don't see it but i really do, i see all the greatness hiding within you. But even though i have these feelings, how do i capture your heart when you’ve got mine locked up tight? You have the key, you are the only one who can unlock it. I think, from what i'm told, i once had your heart, for a time, so quick i didn’t even know it, your heart fluttered away quicker than i could grab it. I should’ve held on, tighter, not letting go, but you slipped away, and i'm back to square one. But i'm ready, after a time, of healing and thinking and becoming a better person, brand new, im ready once again to chase after you. I may never have you, i know that. But if i’ve learned anything, it’s that one thing in this world is worth fighting for, love. So right now i'm asking you, as whatever you want, if you wish to go to the dance on that night. We can be friends or maybe more, but the choice is completely yours.
