The Father’s Day Cruise

As we cruise around town in the Blue Firebird.
windows wide open, wind whipping through our hair
we cruise by a garden where hummingbirds
buzz and trill a song and swoop through the air
and guide us on our way as we celebrate you.

While we cruise toward the Minnesota Twins game
the cheers of fans deafen us from afar
They hit off a home run just for you as we walk into the game
We stock up on snacks at the snack bar
and gear up with Minnesota Twins memorabilia.

After the Minnesota Twins game, we are going to Red Lobster
For dinner to celebrate your special day together some more
With this dinner, there was nothing finer with my Father.
Then we went for a drive to explore
The outdoors before we went home for the night.
