The building is aligned to Him
The tall tower of sinful men
Reaches up from a broken world
Glorifies the dark with a loud amen
Claiming light with evil unfurled

The Lord Almighty casts them down
They scatter and run
From the ruin of a ghost town
The Tower of Babel is undone

Look, now we see a Cornerstone
God's people building high
From the Rock of Ages is grown
A cathedral to touch the sky

Its lines are just and true
Its foundations will last forever
No storm or lightning will break through
The walls of God's endeavor

Oh Jesus our Savior and Lord
Through wind, hail, and thunder
Earthquake and clash of sword
We worship you in wonder

16 Therefore this is what the Lord God says:

“Behold, I am laying a stone in Zion, a tested stone,
A precious cornerstone for the foundation, [b]firmly placed.
The one who believes in it will not be [c]disturbed.
17 I will make justice the measuring line
And righteousness the level;
Then hail will sweep away the refuge of lies,
And the waters will overflow the secret place.

Isaiah 28:16-17
