A poem about self-harm.
Untitled {}

She craved
Serenity but she hoped
For pain
Pain reminded her she was alive
She gained scars on her flesh
That aligned with those on her heart
She played her part
And in an attempt to climb
Out of her emotional pit
She maimed
Herself, removing the part that kept her alive
Her heart
