Welcome to my blog: I intend to share heartfelt writing about anything that comes to mind. |
Take UP Your Cross Prompt: Psalm 118:5 I called upon the Lord in distress: the Lord answered me, and set me in a large place. Write about a time that you called upon the Lord and he rescued you. Answer: God has rescued me many times. I have even seen angels with my own eyes on more than one occasion. I live in Oklahoma, so I have a funnel cloud story. There was a lowering funnel cloud headed straight for my parents’ house where I was at. I prayed for God's protection. I had hung up clothes to dry on the clotheslines that day. We had not expected the storm. I would normally take my tornado precautions, but I felt led by the Spirit to talk directly to the cloud. I went outside where I could see the lowering in the cloud. The clothes were blowing so hard in the wind, I thought they might all blow away. I looked directly at the cloud and said, “Do not come down. You will not do any damage today, in Jesus’ name.” I saw the cloud immediately raise back up and the winds calm down. I felt the Holy Spirit’s presence, and I just started praising God. The Lord calmed the storm and rescued me and my family from disaster.

Observations: Verses 2-3- Edeavor to keep the bond of unity in peace by showing the utmost love and respect to one another. Verse 32- Be kind and forgiving toward others because God has forgiven us through the blood of Christ. Application: Be kind. Love each other deeply. In Christ’s name I ask it, Amen ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Sunday’s Scripture writing - Ephesians 2:8-10 Scripture: 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Observations: Verse 8- Salvation is a gift from God by grace through faith. Verse 9- our works can not save us so we have nothing to boast about. Verse 10- Our Salvation was planned ahead of time and given by God to us through the sacrifice of Jesus so that only through him can we do good works. Application: Salvation is a gift from God. He gives it to whomever he pleases. Our works can not save us. We can only do good works through the power of the blood of Christ. Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for the awesome gift of Salvation that you have given us. You are a great God and Father. Thank you for adopting me and calling me your own. Surprising ones, common everyday ideas, genre-directed or whatever you can think of? I like having a variety of prompts. That should be obvious from my blog here. Write about this in your Blog entry today. I am not one to typically believe in Santa Clause. I can't help but feel he gets glory for himself that was meant for God the Father and Jesus Christ the son. My Bible tells me every good gift comes from God. Christmas, if you celebrate it is about the Birth of Jesus Christ a savior to the world, not a fat man in a red suit bringing gifts to kids and keeping track and if they are naughty or nice. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Day 3068: April 12, 2021 Prompt: Write about whatever makes you happy. Praising God makes me happy. Even when I am in a bad mood, I can praise God and my attitude will change. It changes my focus from everything that is wrong to the one who has it all under control.
