"What a pretty night it is tonight!"
"Uh Huh."
"The palm trees stand as sentries in their might!"
"For sure."

(pithy pause)

"The water has such a calming effect on me."
"Nice."
"It's dusk. What would you like our meal to be?"
"Salmon."

(confused pause)

"I don't think any restaurant here serves that."
"Salmon chanted, 'Evening.'" (He sings.)
"What? What do you mean? What are you getting at?"
"South Pacific. At dusk."

(face TILT pause)

"So maybe we'll here a little longer."
"Okay."
"The conversation seems a little wronger."
"A little flirt."

(pithy pause)

"Is that what it was, my good companion-friend?"
"Of course!"
"Your arm behind my back was flirt to tend."
"The start."

(confused pause)

"What do you think to say it is 'the start'?"
"My privilege."
"I think I must get up and go to part."
"I married you."

(face TILT pause)

"Seriously?"
"You said to put a ring on your finger. Forget?"
"Salmon?"
"Of course. I am forever in your debt."

(The bench is now empty.)
