Relics of the Jam
Sandwich leavings on the floor
are gifts for pets, pests, and the broom.
It seems the small child's messy more
when Daddy steps out of the room.

Instruments upon the stage
remain, while players refresh in pause.
Jams are often quite the rage
for practicing, playing for a cause.

Lights and metal on the road
littered by vehicles in a crash.
Towed away, these rolling abodes.
Drivers must replace their trash.

Deadlines passed with boss' scorn.
Remembered proposals came too late.
In a jam of one more borne
with a needed job at some soon date.
