Who: a physically imposing woman, a mother or caretaker


what: frighten off some people snooping around where somebody is hiding


What stops: she doesn't want to hurt them


where: in the wilderness, perhaps an alien world far from where her people live


when: in the winter


why: the person is on the run from unjust legal punishment


How: explosions to fake weapons fire, traps, etc.





disaster: One of the assailants becomes wounded--or is it a ruse?





Mood:


start: anxious


end: regret





Words: Delicate, tiny, fragile, lost, alone, cute, helpless


Cruel, barbed, jagged, hard, huge, shattered, broken, scattered





Hint: show what the POV sees, then why they take action, then what they do, then what happens, and repeat the cycle. Let each statement be both a surprise and yet obviously caused by the previous in such a way that it reveals more about the first thing.
