| I just did three short reviews and I read a very useful Author’s newsletter. It was titled “Five ways to promote themselves and their books.” I originally intended to work on my novel alone, but the NL pointed out I need exposure to get me and my book off the ground. It mentioned having blogs and websites as well as giving contact info. It also said to have a personal card to give out. I will not delete this NL of future reference. I got real good use out of it. Ron Viete, the founder of Valley Bible Fellowship with branches in Bakersfield and Las Vegas where I live. His home branch has been Bakersfield for some time. Now he is now senior pastor of the one in Vegas! Now this pastor is awesome to make clear. He is right on and advocates serious devotion to the Lord. I’d love to meet him. My mom says she wants to go to church now. Lol. I may go a few times. But I will still go to Calvary Chapel Lone Mountain as my main church. When I do go with my mom to VBF, I will prefer to go to the 9:30 am service. As I have stated before, I am a morning person. I find that my written cognitive skills have increased with my reviewing of poems. Since I can’t go line by line and discus errors and sentence level aspects, I must look deeper for giving feedback but it is mostly things I like and what content I specifically break down. Oh, and with my completion of my last three anniversary reviews, I earned my MB! I asked for a Seasons Spring MB as Sum1 is letting us choose our MB this month. I just checked and I am #41 on the most credited review list! That is nine places up from when I last checked. I did have to rush things and give short reviews because I did not have time to do fifteen long reviews. My plan is to do a long review every day. I hope I keep to that goal. Lol. After church tonight we will all be going to Popeye’s Chicken. I am not sure if I will go. I am broke and I do not want to take any cash out because I don’t want to spend any money. Lol. I just spent $100 to download DBFZ. I may just hang out. I am not sure. On that note, cosmic bowling in on Saturday. It will last for only two hours so I may go. It is in the afternoon. But then again that costs money too. Lol. I hit the PS4 for about an hour I’d say. Like I said it is a lot easier to play than UMvC3. It is a refreshing break from SFV and UMvC3. DLC characters are sure to come including Broly for sure. I am texting Ricky now. He is doing homework at the moment. I asked him if he like doing it and he thought I was being sarcastic. I was serious though. I liked my psychology classwork somewhat. That wsa over three years ago though and I have forgotten it. Speaigof school, I have entertained the idea of getting my Ba when CSN comes out with a creative writing bachelor’s degree course. I also have thought of being a writing tutor. I am good at reviewing on WdC. I’ve gotten compliments on my reviewing skills before. Well, that is it for now. Goodbye. |
| Today has been relatively productive. I worked on my bathroom and did a short review. I would have done more but my mom and I had to go to Trader Joe’s. I got some super premium mint chocolate ice-cream and grass fed roast beef. It was soo good! It was $11 for a pound. I had half of it. My mom went a little crazy on the ice-cream and got three for herself. Lol. My mom did not know there was a TJ’s basically down the street in a very close shopping center called Centennial. It is right next to our gym and is in walking distance. I’ll definitely be getting the beef then beef jerky which is $13 for the biggest pack that is less than the package of roast beef. I hit the PS4 for three hours today altogether. I seem to work better under pressure when I when I was facing the CPU. It was on less than half difficulty. I just have to practice. Tomorrow I will be going to the gym at 7:30 am. I will do my readings before I leave. I have not been in months. Oh well. I should have enough time to enjoy the day when I get back. I need to shave before I go to church tomorrow night. I just get lazy. Chad will be calling soon so I may have to stop writing early. Than again he may not. Who knows what he is doing? I need to start challenging other players online. I am not familiar with the fast paced system of the game. It is tons of fun though. The game has auto combos that can be performed by mashing a single light or medium button. They do not take as much as a custom combo. They do look cool though. I am eager to enter into the fantasy contest that is held by A. E Wilcox. It begins on the first day of next month. This is just what I need to break back into writing. I’m trying to write short stories that will appeal to more readers. I’m used to allowing things to drag on and on. The coffee machine is leaking again so I had to put two big mugs to catch the dripping coffee. I put the two mugs full of coffee in the fridge covered with plastic wrap. It tastes good if I just microwave it for two-and- a-half minutes the next day. I didn’t put as much grinds in the brewer because there was not as much grinds left in the coffee bag. I have a bag of whole beans but I do not like grinding them. Lol. My mom and are going to watch the third Thor on her Firestick device plugged into the TV. We tried watching it yesterday but it was not playing. From what we did see, it was very humorous. I have an eye checkup soon. And I know my vision has worsened. I want laser eye correction. But the optician said that laser eye surgeons want vision to stabilize before being worked on. I am going to look into that. When I get my next prescription, I will go to a laser eye surgeon and ask if I am a candidate. Something very significant is happening on TV regarding a voting issue. I can hear my mom and my stepdad watching it. I think the President is going to speak as well as other politicians. The president is talking now. I will stop hear. Goodnight. |
| Today has been splendid. I got up at about 10 am. It was right after Jim left for work at 9:30 pm. I did my readings and then I hit the PS4 for a bit. I don’t know exactly how long I played but it was not a whole bunch of hours. I meant to take a break after two hours or so and listen to music but when I picked up the remote to turn the TV on but my thumb felt weak and strained so I could not play. So I did three short reviews of poetry works. If I do three more for the next two days, I’ll have my MB. I checked the most credited review list just now and I am #50. Yay! That means I’ll get a reviewing MB too. PS Network was down yesterday. It only lasted for a few hours but it made in the top story when I did a web search. Apparently, the article was an hour old. I came back on after two hours or so but I looked at some YouTube vids featuring the network shutdown. There were some mad people! One even said he was going to switch to an X-Box. Lol. I texted Ann briefly. She is a flake. I will try to talk to her more in hope we will get to be real friends but she stays aloof. I just sent her a massage. A while ago, she said we were friends and that I could ask her anything at any time. I suppose she just meant she would not respond. Lol. We’ll see if I can’t draw her out. While I was waiting to play DBFZ again, I watched my whole first secular playlist which I strangely called v-list #2. Lol. My second one is called v-list #3. Then I have my Christian compilation of music called C-list; the c is for Christian obviously. Chad checks the Battlefront 2 lobby for daily rewards. I don’t. I think it is a ploy to get people to play more. The only game I play is DBFZ. I have only had it for four days since it came out on the 26th. I love it though. Those Foster Farms Chicken bakes ae not that good anymore. I don’t know what it is. My mom had me walk to the store for ice-cream, pineapple pieces, and pizza. I did not what a pizza. I’ll have my tortellini shells. Well, I have to make dinner. Goodnight. |
| It’s been a fine day. I went to church and got a good message from assistant pastor Chuck. He taught out of Acts 13. Afterwards, me and my friend Jared talked games a bit. Then Dan took me home. But before that he and my other friend Ben were talking about some artillery stuff. Ben was giving Dan his bullets and stuff for Dan to hold. Next Monday, Ben will be shipped off to Sicily. He is in the Air Force. Next Sunday will be the last we see of him. He will be stationed there for six months. We’ll miss him. I slept very well last night. I got up at 4:30 about. I read out of my Bible and devotional then waited a while to play some DBFZ. On a similar note, PS Network was down – again. I suddenly went off line while in practice mode. I then typed in a question asking if the PS servers are down and it said they were. It’s back up now. I have two PS friends that play DBFZ. One doesn’t respond to my messages. I may be able to get reacquainted with the other one. I’s love to have PS friends I can play with, Chad doesn’t like DBZ. It’s too bad. It’s a fun game. He won’t give it a chance. Then again, I never gave MvC2 a chance. DBFZ is simpler to play. I’ve played about three and a half hours today. But I took a midway break. It was hard to stop but I did. Got to play in moderation. Lol. I have like $61 left on the food card. There are three days left in this month. I feel like some beef jerky. They have a big bag but it is processed pork and beef blended together. It is good it’s just very unhealthy. After church, Dan took me to Alberton’s so I could get creamer, Ice-cream and soda. My mom is an Ice-cream freak. Three or four people accepted the Lord today. It always cheers me. The angels were rejoicing heaven. So Dan was wearing a leather jacket. He looked like a pilot. I told him would be complete with some shades. I’ve been thinking of calling Dan on his break at 7 am just to say hi. I think he’d appreciate it. I’m still trying get into better familiarity with Ann. I just texted her. Jared was saying he plays PC games like Fortnight and Overwatch. The thing is that I dolt do computer games. His brother Josh plays Destiny 2 n the PS4. I don’t know him that well though. Chad has not called in two days. He’s probably busy putting his room together. I don’t know how he’ll make space for all his statues. His room is small. Strangely Chad said one of the houses in his complex sold for $230,000. It must be the area that costs so much. It is the same situation in Denver where my bro and sister in law live. It is very small but it is pricy because of the area. Speaking of my sister in law, I wonder when the baby will be born. It should be soon. My bro is going to be a dad. It is so weird. I hope they raise her in the light of Christ and the Word. They do go to church regularly. My mom is watching an OLD black and white movie. She loves them. I have not spoken to Gio in a long time. I wonder if he would be upset if I texted him. Well, I just texted Gio. It was short and sweet. He always gets back to me. I wonder how he will respond. Well, that is it for now. Goodbye. |
| Man did I sleep in late. It was probably because I did not sleep well. I woke up at 12 am and could not go back to sleep. I don’t know why. Something weird happened too. The Google HUB unit was making this beeping noise. I checked the computer and there was no connection. After a while, it stopped and the connection came back. I think it had to do with the anti-virus program. I’m texting Ann now. She’s playing her X-Box One now. She’s shooting it out with Wolfenstein colossus. I prefer 3rd person shooters. Battlefront 2 gives you the option of playing both ways. I bought and downloaded DB FighterZ. It took like three minutes. From what I’ve played, it is easy to pull off combos with Goku. I have only fought in training mode. I need to see what online play is like. I was putting in the general settings like region, language and so forth. I was stuck on one part. There was a choice to pick US west coast 1, 2 and 3. I did not know what that meant so I called PS support. It ends up that they are three server locations and I was told by a representative to pick the 3rd one as it would have the least congestion. I can’t wait to play it tomorrow. Lol. I did a good review of a beginning chapter that was really nice. It was fantasy set in real life. I gave it a five-and-a-half stars. Oh, and I got a very happy reply from a guy I gave an awardicon to. I love it when people are happy when I give them MBs or awardicons. So Jim is off today. He had his vehicle worked on. He deserves rest. I have to do two reviews in the morning and until the end of the month to get my two merit badges. Matt got back to me and he will get to my awardicon when he has time. I did not know he is getting a Ph. D. I think it is in chemistry and research. Kudos to him. Let’s see, what else? Chad face timed me and showed me his small house. His room is a mess. Lol. For my ninth story I will choose the “portal closed suddenly” prompt. I need to practice writing and I need to red more. I will do that after games tomorrow – or before. I’m not sure. Not much is happening. Jim is talking to his sister I think. Nothing is new with him either. I need to go to a men’s breakfast one of these months. Ricky goes to them I think. My mom and I are watching Star Wars Rebels over again. The last two or three nights ago, we’ve been watching Merlin. It’s a good show. The last episode is weird though. Chad said Young Justice is supposed to have another season this year. Well that is it for now. Goodnight. |
| I just did two reviews – one relatively long and the other for a poem I gave an awardicon to. It was really good. Unfortunately, the author was las on in October of 2017. So he may not get it see it for some time when he next logs on. Jim came home about an hour ago with some sweet chocolate candies. They were from a store in Caesar’s Palace that was closing. It was two pieces of candy- two dark chocolate and the other white chocolate which I don’t like. They were wrapped fancy with a ribbon on two of them. They were good. Lasts night’s service was very fun and enlightening. There was a guest speaker who gave his testimony. He was the funniest speaker I have ever seen! His mannerisms were classic. He spoke of his encounters with the onslaughts of ISIS in Middle Eastern counties like Iraq. His message was very powerful. Afterwards we all went to In n’ Out. It was good to hang out with the gang. I sat inside with my two friends Jarred and Alberto. The majority of the people ate outside where it was so cold. I just learned tonight that Ricky got a PS4 on Black Friday. Like me, he wanted the console for one game. For him it was an action RPG called Tales of Bresea – if I spell that right. The game I primarily got the PS4 was for Dragon Ball Fighter Z. It comes out tomorrow. I’m psyched. I’m going to try and get up and download it in the early morning. I can’t wait to give it a spin. One of my PS friends was playing the Beta for the game. For that, I think you have to pre-order it. I’ll be buying the top premium version for $99 with the $10 PS discount. I messaged Matt about my awardicon I am to receive after he judges the best one. I finished my 8th story and after I do my 9th story, I will get an MB. I texted Ann asking if she was at work. Several hours later she said she was taking a nap. I texted her earlier saying “Good afternoon.” I hope she gets back to me soon. For the next five days, I plan to do one long anniversary review one short one. That should bring me to 16 reviews. I plan to do one long anniversary review each morning. That will, however, clash with my intention to read in the morning. Perhaps I can do both. Tomorrow I will mop the house. I have to move the fridge forward to vacuum behind it. I’ll be using the hand vacuum for that job. Let’s see, what else? Chad is moving today. He probably will not call me or he may at night. Jim is watching “The Four.” It is a singing completion show. I could care less. Lol. I think some of the contestants are better than some of the judges. Sean Combs is full of himself. | This entry will be brief as I must be ready for a ride to church at about 6 pm. Today, nothing really has happened, not even that many games. I played for an hour. Chad called on his break at about 12:30 pm. Tomorrow is the big move into he and his brother’s new house. He is bummed because it is ridiculously small. Lol. It is tinier than his mom’s house. This time Chad’s bro, Will, will be making payments to buy it this time instead of renting one. Chad told me William will be in his sixties when he pays the house off. There is also the issue of transportation to Chad’s work. I think William is supposed to bring him to work every other day or something except on Sundays when Will is off. Poor Chad. He’ll be taking a long bus ride to work when his bro doesn’t drive him to work. I got off the phone about forty minutes ago when he was walking to his mom’s house. His mom is sick. And that ingrate William will not take a single short visit her. So Dragon Ball Fighter Z is coming out in two days. As I said before, I will buy it off the PS store. I’ve already made a YouTube playlist for it. Lol. That game will be massively understocked at stores – one more reason to buy it as a download. Jim is still not home and it is 4:33 pm. On his off days from his evening job, he gets home at about 3 pm. I wonder where he is. I just checked and I am number 51 on the most credited reviewers list. That was a surprise. And I’ve only done four reviews this month. (= I will be arriving to church by 7:30 pm when Ricky picks me up. I hate getting there so early but it is that or not going at all. Tonight there is a guest speaker. I am not sure if I will be eating out afterwards. I’ll see how I feel. I have to mop tomorrow and go to the gym. I may just go to the gym in the morning and do the mopping on Friday. Yesterday, the PS severs were down. When I turned the PS4 I got a message saying that connection to PS network had been severed. I thought it was my fault. along woth it was a message saying it could be the network. So, I wne ton online and typed a question in and itsaid that they were down. Next it was confirmed by a call to PS support that had a recording saying it was down. About thirty minutes later it was fine. Lol. It is a little cold out there today. I was cold when I went into the truck with my sweater. Now that the tree is down, there is the problem of repairing the wall. Jim was talking to a guy at home on his lunch from Albertson’s. | Today has been a slow day. I did not go to the gym or read or write. I need to get on the ball. The novel I’m writing is suffering. To get off that somber point, I switched places with my PS3 and my PS4. It was a little cumbersome and annoying and it was making me anxious. The only thing left to do is to plug the Ethernet, HDMI cable, and power cable into my PS3. I The main reason I switched them is because I want to hook up my Bluetooth headset to my PS4. There is a way to do it. The downside is that I have to have to have it wired to my PS4 controller and into the transmitter or the PS4 itself. I went to the Turtle Beach site and it said it is compatible with the PS4 but there was a wire included in the headset box that makes it work. I’ll look into it first. Jim is working seven hours today. He should be off tomorrow all day. That will give me an incentive to write, review or read. I’m a little over two-thirds done with the book I am reading. It is getting pretty stark. The protagonist, Aiden, thinks God has left him, leaving Aiden dejected and angry. I’m pretty sure he will go through an epiphany and be reconciled to God. That much is sure. So I am intrigued by the Mistborn series my bro suggested by a dude named Brandon Sanderson. My bro has never read any of his books but the author has great reviews apparently. It sounds like a cool series title. It is actually nice outside in the sun. A funny thing happened. Jim called from the store phone saying he had lost his phone. My mom called his number but the ring tone did not sound. So she figured he left it in his car and sent me to tell him that. Right after that Jim texted my mom saying he had a senior moment. He found it after all. Lol. It was not a totally useless walk. I got Ice-cream and pizzas at the request of my mom. We are still watching Total Drama Action. It is funny. I was dozing off soon afterwards. I kept hearing my mom bust up laughing and my eyes snapped open. Then they closed again. I was ready for bed when JI was about to sleep himself. I slept pretty well. Nevertheless, I got up at like 10:30 am or so. Jim went to work at about 11:30 am. He should be home soon. Chad called three times but my phone was on silent. I’ll call him later. I may text Ricky, Ann or both tonight. I just sent a greeting in Spanish to Her – Buenes Noches or good evening. I’ll probably hear from her much later. Lol. She is definitely a type A personality. Or in psych talk, she is choleric. Over two decades ago, when Ann was with her dad and step mom, Ann punched her in the face. That’s far choleric. She si probably working now. I should catch her in the morning before her work. My mom is watching the cartoon now. It is too early to watch. I was told we would begin watching at 7 pm. It’s like 5:30 pm now. Lol. | Today has been good. I went to church and conversed with some friends of mine. The sermon was good. It was out of Ephesians 3. The thing I got out of it was how God loves us so much. Pastor Jimmy told the congregation two really corny jokes. We laughed because they were so lame. Before he told them, he said they would be dumb. I forget what they were. After service my friend Ben asked if I wanted to go rock climbing. I declined. Jim is home so I cannot hit the PS4. I’m getting a lot better at UMvC3. And, although Chad denies it, I was getting him pretty good regardless I didn’t beat him once. I came very close. I’m going to work with Strider now. I am currently texting Ann now. It’s going pretty good. It takes some time for her to respond so she must be doing something else. She is like Ricky in that way. Lol. Nevertheless, we are good friends - Ricky and I. My relationship with Ann is limited I would say. I do want to change that though. I’ll text her more frequently from now on. I should do the same thing with my sister too. I actually texted her about 30 minutes ago or more. Ann and I are talking about game consoles now. I asked her if she is into games still. She has an X-Box One-s – pretty nice. I asked what kind of games she is into. I’m waiting for a response. It’s pretty nippy out here. Its 52 degrees now. Strangely, it is hot in the computer room without the overhead fan. I logged into Facebook. I have not been on in over year. Lol. Ann has a new profile picture. She’s wearing shades in her home. She looked like she was in grocery store but she said she was at home moving stuff. I don’t get how you’d wear glasses in your home. Oh well. I took a glance at a Forbes article on the difference between the X-Box One-x and the X-Box One-s. The “s” is slightly less in power than the “x.” The X-Box one-x is heavier too. Microsoft claims it is the most powerful console on the market. It is also the priciest one out there too. I’m content with the PS4Pro. I was going to make a new YouTube folder but I forgot how. Lol. So I just put the DB FZ vids in the favorite’s folder. One is a tutorial video and the other is a combo video for Goku. It is coming out on Friday and I will be downloading it. I could download it now and get the beta but I want to experience the whole shebang at once. It will be the bomb. My sister just got back to me. She’s in Minneapolis Metro. Apparently, it is much colder there. A big snow storm is coming in. It looks like the cold weather is still blasting most of the country. I can’t wait until it warms up so I can go to the gym super early. Lol. I hate wasting my morning at the gym. I plan to go back to the gym relatively slowly. | “I’d say I spent about one-and-a-half hours proof reading my 8th Thrice Prompted story. I had no idea there were so many problems and I think there may still be more. Lol. It looks a lot better though than it was. I got up early at about 6 am. I did my readings and hit the PS4 for two hours. Then I took a break and made breakfast and read a chapter from Byzantium. The tree has come down. There is a little bit of a mess I have to clean up. It’s not too bad. It’s pretty cold now. It will be that way for a few days at least. I don’t mind the cold or the wind. It may mean I cannot go to the gym. Lol. I played Chad UMvC3. I did pretty well but I still did not win any matches. Oh, well. His day is coming. I have to keep practicing. I got response from one of my new PS friends. It was a late reply but he did get back to me. My other friend who was on a mike did not. I have not been to Wednesday night service in a while. I did not go to ARK in the Park either. Maybe I should have. Hopefully Ricky will be able to take me to the 9am service. I’ll call him later tonight. I have not hung out with the group in a while. Dragon Dall FighterZ Comes out Friday. It will be loads of fun. Chad just sent me a vid on my phone about a dude who liked The Last Jedi. Needless to say he is in the vast minority. My bro and stepdad liked it. They both said it was just good not great by any stretch I suppose. The dude who reviewed it made some good points. Regarding the infamous episodes one through three, I liked them. As for Jar Jar Binks, I didn’t feel one way or the other. Now I think it would be really cool if he was a Sith lord like what has been circulating around the Star Wars realm in the past months. My bro’s baby girl will be born soon. My bro josh will be a good dad. He and his wife Janna should prepare themselves. Their life will totally change. Lol. As of yet, they have not told anyone her name. I’m happy. Jim paid the workers to clean up the rest of the mess. My WdC upgraded membership is ending on the 28th of February. I’ll renew it on the 27th. I just texted Ricky and Ann. I just told her I hope she had a good week and that work is good. I just asked Ricky how the outing was. I’ll try texting Gio and tell him how I am doing. Usually ask him how he is. Well.
