The Tanaga is an ancient Filipino stanza form which dates back to the sixteenth century. The structure consists of an unlimited number of quatrains (four line stanzas) with seven syllables per line and a rhyme scheme, originally AAAA, but some variations have been used in contemporary works, as demonstrated in the following links:
